Liar: The Fake Grooming Scandal

My first collaboration with director Jack Rampling (Krept and Konan: We Are England,  Louis Theroux: Shooting Joe Exotic), this film is a meticulous account of serial liar and fantasist Ellie Williams’ attempts to accuse a string of men in her home town of Barrow-in-Furness of rape and grooming.

Musically the challenge was to convey the strangeness of someone managing to convince large groups of people of proven untruths, while also being sensitive to the fact that this is a troubled young woman whose need to tell these fictional stories harms herself in the process.
